I am so excited I just want to tell everyone! Hope I don't bore you. I got my first Corvette a year ago. It was a bright red "87. I enjoyed it very much. After a trip by my wife and me to the NCM and a tour of the assembly plant, I told my wife someday I would like a C5. Someday , you know, after the kids go through college , etc. This lady I work with said that her husband (an auto dealer) had their personal Corvette for sale sitting on his lot and encouraged me to go look at it. I didn't think much about it, how could I afford it? Then my wife said,"I saw that car on the lot and it's beautiful, why don't you see if they will give you a good trade?" So I stopped by, talked to the guy(his wife had told him about me) . He was great. He shot me a price for a trade in on mine that was so much more than I had expected that I almost fell out of the chair! The next day he called and said I am setting in your Vette right now! The trade in was so good the bank financed the rest without a problem. So I am now the proud owner of a 1999 light pewter/black interior/six speed/chrome wheels/HUD/12 disk CD/ 35000 mile beauty. I am not bragging....I just want to share my joy!!!!! Thanks for your time. Jack

Welcome to the club. It's a great feeling isn't it? I got my '97 about 5 weeks ago and I know how you feel as do all of the 'vette owners.
Happy holidays and enjoy the ride.

What a Christmas present! Congratulations and enjoy your new drive! Andy :grinsanta

Hi jmooney,
Way 2 kool! Different people have different opinons on different body styles. I prefer the c5 - why? because I own one. Now, if I can only get my wife in mine. Enjoy the ride and save the wave.

Congrats on the vette Jack

looks like you'll get to enjoy it this winter living in the south.

A beautiful 6 inches of snow came last night for our Christmas morning, so it'll be sometime before my vette sees daylight.

Enjoy :beer

sounds good

just out of curiousity whats everybody getting.....for a price that is...

Iam gonna be selling or trading in my 1990 to goto a 1998-2000 c5....this is what iam hoping for

my car has been recently repainted....and a lot of stuff had been done to it....

rims recently refinished
interior restored to pretty darn good condition
runs/drives excellent....13.8 in the quarter
new GM tranny just put in...in may
custom sound system over $3000

hoping to get like 12-14,000 for her....this sound unreasonable?

then in 2004 would very much like to get into a C5 for around 22,000
hoping prices will drop when the C6 comes out!

iam brand new to this forum.....and must say I am liking it a lot!

Congrats!
