I Need 1984 Digital Dash LCDs

Does anyone know where I can get tachometer and speedometer LCDs for my 1984 digital dash?
They are the 2 pieces of glass that you can touch form the outside of the digital cluster. I have checked ebay, but only found ones for a 1986 display.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Jon, in the ebay ad it says will only fit 1986 clusters. Plus they look a little different than my 84s.

The people at United Radio told me they don't sell them individually to customers and that I would have to send in the whole cluster for them to repair it. That's $200 + $150 per LCD. They told me it was because they don't want me to risk taking it apart myself (which I have done sveral times already without a problem.) I'm sure it's more about my $200 plus anything else they find wrong with it.

That may be the only way you get a new one...they are coveted pieces...Unless you try a bone yard, and they are going to charge you an arm and a leg also.

Speedometr LCD Repairs

I have a 1985 Vette in which the Speedometer did what they call a solar burn and had to have it repaired, believe me it is like getting hens teeth repaired. I was in Michigan and had Roberts Corvette take mine out and send it in for repairs, they did a great job, but it cost me a little over $400.00 . I don't have there phone number but they are located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

I couldn't find anyone that would send the panels to me. They all wanted me to send in the dash and let them do the work. I ended up sending it to a guy in AZ.

$160 initial cost
$125 for each display (2)
$20 shipping
$430 total

I'll let you know how it turns out. If it comes back in one piece, I would say I got a decent deal.
