I need help with my blower motor please

OK so I have a 90 corvette roadster. I bought it from a corvette guru (soposedly). the heater / ac wont blow. it lights up and I have replaced the head unit and tried fuses. the guy i bought the car from said it worked b4 i bought it.


Yes I am a chick, so laymens terms are appreciated.
 
Have you tried checking to see if the blower motor gets power? You'd need a Digital Volt Ohm Meter, aka DVOM
 
I could easily trouble shoot this is with a meter or a test light. But ........ Try this to narrow it down..
There are two relays and a resistor in this circuit. And there are two fuses in this circuit. Suggest you check both of them - the A/C blower fuse and the A/C Clutch fuse. Both must be OK for the blower to work.
Check the associated wiring for anything loose, including the wiring at the blower motor. Check the connections at the two relays and the resistor.
Is the blower inoperative in low, medium and high speeds? Or just one of those?

If none of this is of any help to you, hang on. Some one with blower motor circuit experience will check in and help you.

C4 vettes have a real bad habit of melting the contacts on the blower motor plug...

turn it on but don;t start the car, get under the hood and wiggle the blower plug or tap it with a tool...if that does something, the contacts inside are melted and the blower motor has to be replaced. $40.

I just did mine and this is the 3rd on this car.....

For starters put 12V on the blower motor itself and see if the motor actually works.
Could spend a lot of time chasing a control/wiring problem when motor itself is faulty

There are two relays and a resistor in this circuit.
Electronic air (C68) doesn't have the resistors.
Blower speed is controlled by the blower control module mounted in the A/c ducting on firewall.
Commonly goes faulty with age
