I have an 84 that runs great, but I here people bragging about there ported intakes producing an extra 30-40 Hp. So I want that also but I need some pictures on how to do this.;shrug

It's just port matching the runners...no different than any other SBC intake, just a LOT more material to remove, and it doesn't make the runners any larger.

I went a little different route:

Did you get any gains from that?

Not from that mod alone, no. That in addition to a Crane 2050 cam, oversized TBs (2"), long tube headers, and a custom tune...well the only "measurement" I had was 0-60 time and that dropped by almost 2 seconds. I never got it to a dyno.

Gotta keep in mind that this is a "system", no one single mod is going to yield much gain. For example you can gain all the intake flow you want, but if the TB bore, heads, exhaust...etc can't get that extra flow through the engine, you'll see little to no benefit from it.

That 2050 cam, did that do the most? What is it an rv cam, all bottem end?;shrug

Why did you port it like that? Are you some kind of an engineer?
