Take plenty of pics for me!...

Katrina just became a Hurricane and at the moment is 30 miles off shore heading my way. She threw a major wrench on my Carlisle plans.

Enjoy the cars, fun, and antics!

Best wishes to all

Luigi, a major bummer you will not be able to attend! :(

Certainly many pics will be taken and shared - we just got in about an hour ago :eek Dropped off the SNAT earlier and then now w/ the fridge.

I haven't seen Reuben, but we were looking! :cool

Miss Tisdale wasn't at the bar, but there is always breakfast...

Just shared a bottle of Callaway wine in clebration of the cars and people that make events like these awesome!

Maybe the storm will miss youand we'll see ya on Sat :m :upthumbs

It's 2 a.m. Indiana time and I'm getting ready to head out the door. Should be at the fairgrounds between 10 and 11....See you guys in a few!:D

Power was restored last night and I was once again able to get a good nights sleep in the comfort of AC. The house and cars were not damaged but some of the landscaping took a beating.

Here is what the driveway looked like before Katrina

and here is what it looked like after

It took several hours to cut a path out the day after. It has mostly been cleaned up but I have plenty of work to do in the next few days.

Hopefully I can make it next year.

Luigi,

It looks like you fared a LOT better than New Orleans and the Gulf Coast is going to! Glad to hear nothing major was damaged.

Mardi Gras is always welcome in South Florida. There are plenty of residents here from Brazil and they have already begun a mini-Carnivale here which would add a nice flavor Mardi Gras.

I feel for our neighbors to the north west having gone through Andrew in '92 which was smaller in scope by comparison before it made landfall. I still remember it looking like a nuclear bomb had gone off... seeing wood from torn off roofs as far as the eye could see.

I hope any Callaways, their owners, and everyone is out of there.
