1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
Well I have been dilagently working on the car.Progress is good but I keep hitting small road blocks .

Its the old 80/20-20/80 rule kicken my butt.

Need less to say I have some things I have to get done but if all goes well I will be hole shotting this thing down my street and my wife will filming it for the website.

I spent 4 hours tonight correcting a brake line leak tonight because of a defective fitting that i should have seen when it was installed.

Looks like I will have Carlilse NO Problem but when you see it realize its a work in progress. I am going to leave a note book on the front seat for you guys to make suggestions in. or problems you see, Please dont hold back.its not about ego for me,And I have very hard skin. So I am hoping to take advantage of all the knowledge from you guys.

See you guys soon .

Larry just don't bust anything till you get back from Carlisle.

Larry, I have no doubt that when we see the car at Carlisle it will be a thing of beauty and you are just being modest saying otherwise.
From what I've seen in your pics and vid so far it's already a headturner! :)

Thanks Barry but I am sincere in my request. I am not looking for complements You guys certainly gave me enough of them over the last year, Just looking for help.

Just like the guys who told me the yellow piping was over the top and should be removed from the valve covers.

Larry. What days will you be in Carlise? I'll give you my cell phone number so I can find you. I want to see your car. I'll be there Fri. And Sat.

where on the field will you be parking the car?

Brian I have your phone number and will call you as we get closer.

Barry I am not sure I had asked my wife to register for the fun feild but i dont think that was done.Does any body have a contact I can use to see if I can still register

Larry
I don't have a contact name, but the phone # I have on my Carlisle registration card is 717-243-7855 and fax # 717-243-0255

Well I got the shaft in and drove it.Goes like a beast.

the low hole in the 700r4 is a trip and is good for nothing as it just spins the tires. The tranny guy did some job as the car hits real hard in secound and third gear shifts thats puts the car sideways.I am hoping it gets better traction once the alignment is done as the foot print of the tire it not sitting completely on the road.
Its real stiff and I think I have to soften the springs as it feels like a go cart but I will wait untill the alignment is done.

tomorow will be 11 months since I picked up the body and as most of you guys know the frame I picked up last year at corvettes of carlilse.I still have a ton of things to do but i did get to drive it today,I will post the video tonight.

Congrats on your first drive, hope its all smooth going to Carlisle.

Best regards,
Gerry

Congrats Larry!

I have been watching your progress!
Your C1 already looks and sounds good.

You must be thrilled!!:beer

Best regards,
Pedro

gonna need a towel to wipe the drool from my face......

Larry, that's AWESOME news! I'm sure that first drive felt incredible and the smile won't be off your face for a week :D
A HUGE congrats to you!

Amazing, in just about the same time frame as it took just to paint my car, you built an entire car from scratch!

I would not say from scratch

looking at that pic and following all that you did, and the frame, and everything else, I'd say close enough to scratch for government work!

no need for modesty Larry, You did a GREAT job and you deserve your pat on the back so just humble yourself and accept it
:beer

Congrats Larry on you your first test flight. I'm sure it was a rush for you! 11 short months and you got that beast rolling under her own power. Good luck with her...... Wait a minute here. Didn't you originally say this car was for your wife, maybe we should be congratulating her. ;LOL

Larry,

Looking forward to seeing it in person. Got the video up yet?? I couldn't stand watching everybody out having fun in there projects, had to get mine out for some fun yesterday. made a fun video of a few fly bye's in the black coupe :)

Dennis

Larry....I don't know why you just didnt keep the snow tires from the back....if it is road noise that you are worried about, the snow tires will be drowned out....I think it adds character.....
