1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Coupe
Hello, I'm so glad I found this forum. Great resource for info on all things Corvette. This is my first Corvette, I'm very lucky to have at only the tender age of 21. I have always wanted one since I was a kid. I bought my 1993 40th Anniverary Coupe off a co-workers uncle. I love this car, it is everything I always thought it was. Its a 6 speed and I took a trip to OHIO and got a dash readout of 31.5mpg at a 65mpg cruise with a/c on. WOW!!! Oh, it also gets up and goes too. I put muffler eliminators on it, which are awsome!! Soon will have an x-pipe too. Plan on keeping to stock looking inside and out. May do some go fast things hidden underneath. Nothing that cant be changed back. Defintate chick magnet. I love the color too, totally different than anythng else out there. All in all, the best thing I ever bought. Ohh, to add the icing on the cake I'm a Auto Tech at a Ford Dealer. Yes, I catch heck from the Mustang guys at work. Well, see who is laugh'in when I get my supercharger installed.

Yes, and I WILL save the wave.

Most importantly welcome .

My father and uncle owned a Ford dealership for years .I bought my first Corvette and my dad looked at it for half an hour never said a word. Finally he said to me "if ya had only saved your money a little longer ya could have bought a Ford" .

In the real world I don't think of a Corvette as a Chevrolet ,I think of it as a unique American legend.

So again Welcome to CAC.

Welcome to the :CAC :w

I was fortunate enough to be driving a corvette at that age as well. Not much has changed in 5 years! The thrill is strong as ever!

Congrats on your first Corvette - and particularly the 93 AE!! The Ruby is a beautiful Corvette!

We'll look forward to hearing about the goodie modifications you make.

I worked at a Ford Dealer in the Body Shop while I was going to technical school,I bought my first Corvette from State Farm Insurance Co. Crashed!! (68 427 Roadster with both tops) I built the car at school in class and when I started driving it the service manager being a SA,Said maybe you should go work for "Peterson Chevrolet" So I did!!! Bought my first New Corvette there too in 77 after "Jim Robertson" bought them out!!:boogie:boogie:boogie
