Ran it like a racecar for 2 hours on the interstate systems around Atlanta. No mercy today 'caus I just wasn't in the mood. Top's out and I'm beating it to death, 125 on the long downhill to I-285. Touch the brakes to 90 on the sweep. My God this car is unbelievable. Not racing, just haulin' a$$.

It idles better now. I'll make up for the flogging with Zaino and new Goodyears. A vette and a good horse needs to be set free once in a while. 98% of the time grandpa's driving. Needed to confess to vette abuse. The guilt was killing me-hahahahahahahahahahaha!

Outstanding

Tim,

Yes you've been very very bad. Nicely done - and no tickets.

Remo:cool

The cops aren't paid enough to ride on I-285. It's anarchy with Darwin's survival theory thrown in. Spanked her good, Remo. I feel mo' betta.

Really??;squint: Feeling guilty??;squint: Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I suspect not!;squint:

GUILTY YOU ARE!!

Now fill her up with premium, the Zaino is a good start, but don't neglect the tires or the interior!!

Two adult beverages only tonight while you work!

But hey, at least it runs better.

Now, don't you feel better.

:D Jim

I can't believe you found a spot to get close to 125 anywhere around Atlanta!
You must know some secret roads. Or did you do it at 3 am ? :D

I've seen 285 both ways ... if you ain't doing 100 you're getting run over ... then as my sister so eloquenetly put it "You booger picking morons ain't never seen a cop before" ...;LOL ... good thing I wasn't driving ... I almost peed my pants. The bad thing is we were doing a whole 1/2 MPH. I had to hide my head due to laughing so hard.

I swear these cars need a little "abuse" every now and then. Mine had this irrestible urge to get to triple digits everytime I start her.

:w

These vettes don't drive good till you hit at least 80 , 90 to 100 is when they really come in. Trying to drive 60 is like trying to hold a race horse back.

Can I get a H#ll Yea!

OOPS!

:w

That's great. :_rock

Out here in the spacious Oregon high desert, 125 mph is easily done with only a keen eye for jackrabbits and deer. What's amazing is slowing down to 70. Feels like you could jog that speed.

Well its about damn time! What I don't understand is that people driving vettes here in Arizona are always POKIN' AROUND! Very frustrating. I'll catch up to someone to have a little "play" and they never engage... just fart along. Just ashame. Glad to hear I'm not the only person enjoy my vettes!!!

I hear ya' ...

btw tlong, I can relate cuz I had a moment (yes, just a moment) of "indulgence" on the way home from work yesterday. Just puttin' along w/ everyone else on SR51 when I just said @#$! this, did a quick cop check, dropped her in 2nd, stood on it, flew around the one car in my path and ran her (in no time at all, I might add) to around 130 or so and let off. After that though, I got the inevitable paranoia rush mixed w/ a ... dude, are you crazy? I got over that quick though but definitely kept a wary eye on the rear view mirror. Although it was a wide stretch of road, "the law" would have a field day w/ a Vette moving at triple digits. :ugh

Sure is fun though! :beer

Man, I wish we had an Autobahn here in the states. :Steer
