sunday , hot rod tv on the speed channel featured the turbo subaru mrx. they increased 1/4 mile time by 1/2 sec. by simply putting ice bags on intercoolers between runs. they let them melt till only 1/4 of the ice was left. interesting indeed

We used route the fuel through essentially a coffee can with coiled, copper tubing, then ice the fuel before it hit the carb.

Yeah, I have used ice bags at the track on my GN (never raced )
and other cars for consistent times - It works!!

I do like the ice can for fuel too
