As you can see I have been under my car messing around, Rear axle code looks like 2AX 4 3 69M any ideas? I do not see AX listed in 69. Transmission plate reads CY-69-1704 & above that there is a number stamped on the plate 412. Any place I can go to find the codes would be appreciated.

Thanks, It does I am still confused with the rear axle the date looks to be correct but the axle code AX is from 1971?

Axle looks OK - the "2AX" might be "CAX"; in any event, it's a 3.36 Posi made on April 3, '69, and the "M" at the end is probably the "W" (for Warren) stamped upside-down. Trans looks OK too - the "412" at the top is a modified Julian date, and the "CY-69-1704" says it's the correct Corvette big-block high-shift-point transmission, serial #1704 for that type.
