Identifying Stainless Brakes
I'm starting to work on the suspension, etc. on my recently purchased '73. I'm a little new to working on vettes, but have loved them for years.
I took off one of the brake calipers yesterday and want to determine if the calipers are already sleeved with stainless steel or not. In looking at it, I can't make a determination without disassembling it further. It shows a stamp indicating it is a remanufactured caliper, but no indication whether it has been sleeved. Any suggestions on making the determination would be much appreciated? Thanks.
