If I didn't know better, looking at the last twenty threads or so, I would think C4s had problems with headlight motors. Anyone else notice that? :L

-Mac

Sorry about that, but I just spent the last few hours rebuilding my headlight motors again a mere couple of weeks after I followed that "Home Depot fix" advice. I was very annoyed, and that was quite cathartic. I've warned everyone and now I feel much better! :D

Gee, I guess I have been lucky......OR, did I just jinx myself?

We've been spammed by "behnevette"

There is no reason to reply to all threads that way, just one will do.

And hey Mac, mylights are workin just fine, went out and tested em, up down, up down, up down, :W

Workin fine. I was worried there was a plague or something.

I know that, but I couldn't let anyone slip through the cracks and follow that "advice". Many apologies. It got your attention, though, didn't it?;)

It's actually a very good heads up. It is a PITA to rebuild those things. Took me 4 hours to do one side and that's the only side that I did.

Sure, it's only $.69 at HD but when you can get the real part on eBay for about $5.00, it's not worth the hassle of having to re-rebuild it.

Didn't this same thing happen a couple of months ago? I guess someone really wants to prove he knows about C4 headlights.

Tyrel, I just really want to prove that the person I quoted doesn't.

Thats the reason new threads are at the top, so people can read them. there is also a search feature here, which I see you found.

Not trying to be a PITA but all these headlight threads brought up are over a year old, and some may have pics linked to sites that are now broken, granted they may still contain useful info.

It might just be better to create a new thread with a few keywords and your warning about the HomeDepot stuff.

As far as getting my attention, so does a smack in the head, but do it twice and we have a whole new issue. :bash

Not meant to be offensive.

Mart :D

I'm not offended, and I was not trying to offend. I agree that it was over the top, but you have to understand the state of mind I was in. I felt really stupid for following the advice, but it was probably equally stupid of me to reply to all of them. I've got it out of my system now, so it won't happen again.
:beer

Deep breaths, Mart. It's a forum, not a wrestling ring... He's explained and apologized. Let it go... Chant the mantra with me...

I wanna drive faster
I wanna drive faster
I wanna drive faster

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That's better thanks Mac.

Whew, I was on the edge for a minute there, been strugling with rear hubs and suspension this weekend.

Thought I was gonna blow a gasket, the previous owner put 88 wheels on with spacers and used long studs in the hub, which would have been fine except, he welded the freakin things in, crooked. :mad

New Hubs!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

That's better,

Thanks again Mac, Sorry Benevette :ugh

Not kidding, I discovered this in the fronts first, now the rears.

I was initially having an issue balancing the wheels and stopping a front end shimmy, guess what, try to get a wheel on perfect everytime just using loose spacers.

So I bought the real bolt on spacers and all is well, once I finish the backs.
