What about all the LS1 Camaros and Firebirds? How about C5 door handles that are also on the Aurora and Impala? Does that mean the C5 is not a true Corvette too because it shares some common parts with other models? Camaro was long considered the "stable mate" of the Corvette. "Closest thing to a Vette yet". So I guess by your standards the C3 is not a true Vette too. The "Blue Flame" Six Engine and power glide transmission were used in other cars too. So I guess the C1 was not a true Vette. One of the big reasons the Corvette has been around so long is that GM has used its available resources to keep the cost down and the reliability up. Or maybe there are no true Corvettes. Maybe we've been foolishly hallucinating for 50 years.

Someone fetch me my cane and dog please. No tricks please. I'm easily fooled. Where is my darn calculator? I need to add 2+2. Duhhhhhh!

it can only make both cars better.
if you dont like, dont buy.i rarely look in this forum(c6)as it is very negitive.yet if there are fresh spy photos, then theres a race to see who posted them first.if it says corvette and drives like a corvette, quess what, its a corvette.keep on waving!!!!!
later,Todd.

Again reading between the lines.... I dont care if it makes both cars better or not. The 04 C5 will be the last chassis exclusive Corvette made. Forget Auora door pulls and F bodies the F bodies had there own factory and platform they were not "Y" platform cars. The "Y" cars have always been exclusive from the late 50s till now.

I think we should not speculate and wait to see what the C6 brings, we may all be very surprised as we have in the past... Every new design may bring a new dawn.
