ignition coil

So the car just died the other day. I found that i have no spark. The car cranks, but will not try to fire. I put in a new ignition coil and i still have no spark, what should i check next. Or how can i check to see if the spark moduel is bad. Or any kind of a test. I have no spark and there are no shorts. I am lost at this point. It's not a corvette C3, but i thought you guys might be able to help.

What kind of car? The 86?

Need more information. Electronic ignition? Points? Has anyone worked on distributor? v8 engine, 6 cylinder? what year? Computer controlled?

If you are getting no spark you need to follow the flow of electricity. Test the coil sometimes a new coil can be bad. Check the distributor if electronic sometimes the module goes bad and you get no spark. Check wire connections is the ground wire broken?
