Hey Forum!
Just thought I would post a quick thread to inform anyone on here about similar problems. This past weekend I decided to pull the ZR1 out from winter storage. I reconnected the battery and fired her up. A few seconds later, she fires up no problem, reving up RPM on inital startup, and coming back down to idle RPM she dies. Over and over I fire it up, same thing, starts no problem, revs to 3K RPM on startup, and apon idle RPM just dies out. After all the possible thoughts...I took to my mechanic, and taces it out to be something securety! After further investigation and talk with a gentlemen from AC Delco, turns out to be the MAP sensor. I guess over the winter time the diaphram in the MAP was ruined and would not allow the security system to send fuel to the injectors. Anyways, not an expensive part, thank you! but a lession well learned.
