Folks, The Callaway Owners event at the 2003 Corvettes @ Carlisle is quickly approaching important deadlines for registration.

Please register your Callaway for our area in the Fun Field directly through Carlisle Productions as the price typically goes up in the last few months prior to the event.

Also, If you need assistance with room registrations for this event, please contact me directly as I am required to return any surplus rooms a minimum of 30 days before the event and beyond July 22, 2003, I cannot guarantee any reservations.

This years show dates are August 22 – 24, 2003

I am pleased to announce that once again we will have space on the “Fun Field” dedicated for the Callaway Corvettes to gather & shine.

My personal goal is to have more Callaways on the field and hopefully we will break the number of attendees that we had last year. (We had 31+ cars, with even more owners coming from as far away as Utah, California, and Australia)

I have secured rooms for our group again, at one of the local area hotels and the rooms are currently available for reservation. Rates are $107.00 per night and are to be secured by the individual requesting the room, directly through the hotel.

An owner’s dinner, scheduled for Saturday August 23, 2003, is currently in the planning stages with more information to follow soon – Stay tuned J

To register for the “Fun Field”, please do so directly with Carlisle Productions. The cost for this year is $45.00 and that includes parking for your Callaway in the specific area & admission to the event for two, all three days of the event. Just another quick note: I have already heard from a bunch of Twin Turbo Owners who will be returning again this year and it looks like Tony C. Will be bringing the entire CR-1 contingency :) and hopefully we will have another C12 in attendance again this year - and hopefully some more of these unique and special cars :D

Chris, Thanks for the reminder!

I registered months ago but had not seen anything from Carlisle Productions so I called today. My application was sitting in the "problem file". I guess my reputation preceeds me. :bu Were they ever planning on telling me? :confused

It's all straightened out now! :beer

Riding on the success of last years event, I have finalized the details for the Callaway Owners Group Dinner - We had a wonderful night last year with many stories shared and the Callaway enthusiasum grew stronger than ever!!!

I received this message this morning, from the good folks at Carlisle Productions...

(Turbo Joe - Looks like no late starts for you this year ;) )

We will be located in row IJ (last year we were in IK - so we are one full row CLOSER to the Grandstands :)

PLEASE NOTE: PRE REGISTER is the key phrase for all this - you MUST mention "Callaway" during your registration and please arrive before 10:00 am to keep your space(s) secure :)

"Good Morning Chris, - just wanted to let you know that we will have a spot for the Callaway group. You will be located on the row beside the hospitality tent row IJ - a mailing is going out to all pre-registered, the mailing will include a vehicle admission sticker and map showing the location of the groups. As we have seen in the past the show continues to grow so we can only hold space for the groups for a limited time which is around 10:00 on Saturday morning then we begin filling in the holes. Tell you members to get here early. If they did not pre register they will need to stop outside gate 3 show registation building to get their admission pass and goody bag. All pre-registered will receive pass and admission instructions in the mail. Take care - we will see you in August." :m

UPDATE - August 1, 2003

Our group has been moved (based upon an anticipated number of Callaways at the event :)

here is the message:
"Chris - I have a change in location for the Callaway owners tent and fun display parking area. We have already printed maps which will be mailed out to the the pre-registered so the location shown on the map will not be correct. The Callaway group is identified by an E on the map and is located on IJ row. Because of your anticipated number, I will be moving the Callaway group to the area near "A" location.
I will try to pull their pre registered mailing and make the change on their map but if you could get the word out that the group location has been moved and will be located near the "A" designation. Our show parkers will be aware of this location and will be able to assist in getting the vehicles located. They just need to indicate that they are looking for the Callaway group. "

Dinner will be held locally, at 7:00 pm (facilities are about 15 minutes from the fairgrounds)

Update

This Event is looking better & better every day - I have heard from a couple more owners this weekend, who are bringing their Callaway Corvettes to the show and will be attending the Owners Dinner :beer

I have received a few requests for car wash supplies - I know the Carlisle Fairgrounds have a wash area about 100 years into Gate 3 (where you should enter for the Fun Field / Callaway Area)
and the Host Hotel will also have a wash area on the lower back side - near the pool.

If you have the room, please toss in a few extra towels for folks who may not have enough room to pack everything - Thanks :m
