In a parking lot today, I look over and see cues from the Speedster (pics)

I was in a parking lot today beside a car that when I turned quickly to look, the very first thing that popped into my head was "Callaway SuperSpeedster" :eek

Take a look at these pics - do you think Deutchman's timeless design had some cues borrowed from it :confused

Looks like an old 911 or something like that (i could be way off of course:D)...

When i compare the two pic's i think Paul has absolutly no reference when he designed the hardtop. I look at is as a solution like a brigde, connect the front to the back and make the best of it. It's a very rare design with the two row's to the back, but when i look at the pic it looks like you have to be 55" or smaller or less you wouldn't fit..

Peter, that is actually a brand new 2004 car :eek

The roofline was very low, much like the SuperSpeedsters hardtop line...

The rest of the car is obviously not the same but the roofline in real life looked like it had borrowed cues ;)

Enjoy :m

Interesting comparison. Is that a Crossfire? Those are kinda cool but they look so small on the road. - Eric:w

Chris - I know you talked to Deutchman at BJ. Did he actually have anything to do with the design of the roof for the Super Speedster? It was my understanding from the builder that it was simply an add-on that was commissioned by the then owner of the car.
