Info on tie down on 96 CE on car trailer

Would like info on how to tie down my Vette on car trailer. Tanks in advance Larry

All four corners with car tie downs, I use "Mac's Ratchet Straps" from Summit Racing, get the set that have the re-inforced center to protect from wear. First the fronts, snug them down firm, then the rears to get the whole car tight. Once the car is on the trailer, I open the hood as it makes access to the a-arms very easy. On the backs I go thru the rim, but that is a non-stock rim for my race slicks. After 5-10 miles stop and check things to see if it has loosened up.
