About 50% of the time, I have to crank the engine about 4-8 seconds before it will start. Looked and saw that they will sometimes drip a little gas and then spray fine.

It's also running crappy. Replaced fuel filter, pump pressure fine. If I punch it, it'll stop running rough. ???

Take it out and send them out for cleaning and fixing.

fuel regulator.leaking by internally.

Why would you think that when his injectors drip a little then spray fine?

IF it were a MPFI the regulator can allow fuel to bypass to tank return when the plunger is worn. A symptom is good pressure on the gauge, poor pressure at the injector signaled by poor atomization...or dripping. Not enough pressure on the nozzle to force it to spray.

But, this is an 84 with only 15 psi fuel pressure, which I had failed to notice before.
