I purchased a 2002 Electron Blue convertible last fall. It has the light oak interior. I noticed that there are several stains on the leather seat, probably from a black ink pen. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean this off, without damaging the light oak leather? Thanks for all replies.

I think Mid America, sells a cleaaner specifically for this , check thier site, good luck Jim.

Try toothpaste

a guy I work with used it and it took the ink off his seat.

Try "Magic Eraser". Avail. at Walmart, supermarkets etc. I was able to remove dark suntan lotion stains from lt. oak leather seats. Just follow the directions.

I'd shy away from these as they're solvents, probably contain petrolem distillates.

:ugh ...did not know that......................

I've good luck with Zaino Leather in a Bottle (Z10) for cleaning ink pen marks off the leather.
The 'Eraser' does a great job getting marks off the plastic stuff like the door sills but I haven't tried it on the seats.
