and can notice the engine sounds "less encumbered". Supposed to give about 20 hp but I think maybe 10. Hard to tell. Took about 3 hours for the 3 pully install. Only real difficulty is crank pully due to location but once tha water pump pully is off it's much easier. Will answer any questions.

Thats awesome! I like to do things to my vette. I would love to hear all about the process, but first where did you get the pulley's. I have not seen them before, I have however seen other pulley systems in magazines. Did you notice a difference any where else with the new pulleys?

Hey Craig....

I got the pullys on ebay actually. they were new in the box but the box appeared old. I had heard of them before and I don't know if hypertech shill makes them. The crank pully is quita a bit smaller than stock and the waterpump and alternator are a little bigger. I use the analogy of a bicycle. If the sprocket is small on the front, the real wheel turns easier. I think this is the same theory. The factory crank pully is quite a bnit larger.

The crank has three bolts plus a center bolt. the waterpump has four bolts and mine had a balancer on the outside of the pully. The alternator was the tough one to get off because you can't hold onto it. I took the alternator off and took it to a local shop. The spun the old pully odd and put the new one on in about two minutes using pneumatic tools. easy.

The waterpump pully is the last to go on because you need it off to access the crank. The crank used a 9/16 long socket on the three and a 5/8 long on the crank bolt. The rest were simple.

If I had to do it again it would only take about an hour because I know what to do now. Overall it was a fairly simple operation. By the way, it used the stock belt when I was done. I paid about $50 for the set on ebay. I don't have access to dyno but I'm sure it made a difference. It does shift more solid now, it's an auto.

Believe it or not, the biggest headache was getting the damn belt off and on.

Hope this helps.

Randy

Thanks Randy...

I appreciate all the info, I am looking forward to doing a mod like this on my car. I am always looking for something to do even if it doesn't add 100 hp. Every little bit helps.

Thanks again
Craig
