Hi. What keeps new visors up? The ones I bought look like they just slip over the shaft, but there is know resistance to keep them in any one position Any remarks are always appreciated!

Just did mine last week. Get a towel and a rubber malet (hammer). If you look inside the slot you will see the shaft is round but it's shaped like a 'C' you have to close gap so both ends are touching. Just wrap up the top and bang away. It only goes about half way down the shaft. Leave the front opening alittle more open then the middle. It will make it easier to slide in.

I did the same thing a while back, too, and the 'whack it' method described by "mvftw" worked for me. If your new ones are loose even after the old shafts are inserted completely into them, then you got 'bad' replacements (they're supposed to have that 'C' shaped tubing to grip the visor shafts). Where did you get your replacements?

Frank

I got mine from Wilcox...best price around...$40/pair. Looks great and works great after I did alittle...adjustment...LOL
