I had my carb off today and with my favorite Corvette show coming up realized my Edelbrock intake manifold could use a good cleaning. What do you recommend as a good cleaner? The important thing is i dont use something that will stain the aluminum. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies.Buddy of mine said to use carb/intake cleaner and of course thats the one thing i was out of.

Probably the most potent stuff that's easy to get is Valvoline's Throttle Body & Carb cleaner. Here is a link. It looks slightly different than the bottle I have. They may have changed it up a bit, but this stuff is potent!
2nd Place would go to any of the Chlorinated Brake Cleaner products.

As with any of these cleaners, you do NOT want to get them on your paint. So take care to use carefully. Wear some chemical resistant gloves and saturate a rag with the stuff. Then wipe down your intake. The intake cleans right up!
