Does anyone know what the difference is between the '65 aluminum intake manifold for the '65 365 hp 327 and the '66-67 aluminum intake manifold for the 350 hp 327 (GM 3890490)?
I know the oil filler tube angles to the passenger side for the 365 hp and to the drivers side for the 350 hp and the part numbers are different (obviously) but I don't know the technical reason for the changes. I know the '65 365 hp intake (GM 3844461) was also used on the '64 340 hp engine. Is either one considered better?
Any ideas why GM changed the oil filler tube angle or what technical reasons drove the change between the '65 and '66 aluminum intakes?
Thanks!
