Can a 78 L82 intake be swapped with a 80 L48 intake, someone made me an offer to get mij hands on the 78 intake including the carb for 200 $$

Rick,
It should work. If you are getting rid of your 80 intake I could use it. What is the GM part number? Someone gave me this number 14014432. My car has an Edelbrock manifold. And I'm trying to put it back to original.

steve,
i might have an intake for you, I'll have to check the #s. I just put a ZZ4 in mine.

Rick,
Why? The L48 intake and the L82 intake are the same. In the later years, sorry but not sure when it started, the L82 was aluminun but was still the same as the L48, just a few pounds lighter. It is not a high rise or anything like that. So, is a couple of pounds worth $200?

That would be great if you have one. I'm not sure if the number I have is the correct one. Then I just need a speedometer and distributor shield.
Thanks,
Steve

No the problem is in carb, and it is almost impossible to get them over here in the netherlands for a reasonable price.
Someone makes me an offer for a complete carb including the intake, because he is doing some tuning on the engine to get more hp.

What are you planning on doing with the Edelbrock???
I might be interested.
