I went to edelbrock they recommended the performer 2101 with a 1406 carb They have a nice polished intake more money of course.I have a 81 vette and I want to either change the distributor to a high performance one or can I revamp mine but I still want it to work with my original tach. Can this be done and is this a good setup for my 350 ci Thanks

Yes, it can be done with the MSD unit.
I prefer the Weigan Stealth intake with a Holly 3310 750 with vacuum secondaries, and Mallory distributor, its just a matter of choice and what works for you. I put the same setup on my brothers 81.

i just ordered the RPM Air Gap. Edelbrocks web site says it doesn't fit a stock corvette hood, but i did some searches and feel confident i can make it fit with a drop down filter.

Intake ,Dist

Thanks for the replys I think Im going to go with the #21011 polished performer intake with the thunder avs carb 650 cfm or 800 cfm and the MSD pro billet HEI #8365 I will let you know what happens. Any other comments would be appreiciated.

Carefull with the drop down filter base mine hit the the fuel push rod on the top of the carb.
I ended up installing a L88 Hood I would like to do cold air intake from the front of the car just haven,t seen a filter set up, maby a mod from a camero would work.

Edelbrock 2101 intake & Edelbrock Q-Jet 1903 next steep is the Mallory Dist.
