Interior dome & courtesy lights

I have a 81. Last week the interior lights stayed on and drained the battery. After recharging the battery, the lights now only work with the headlight switch. Nothing works with the door switches. I think the lights are switched on the ground side of the circuit. Does anyone know where the ground connection and the time delay relay are located? Am I on the right track?

Jerry, I have a 79 and the timer switch is located just to the inside upper right of the glove box.
