Help! interior light delay

I'm surprised nobody has answered this question since August 28th. In addition to your interior lights and your spare tire lamp not working, your hatch release switches on your doors won't work. If you turn on your courtesy light switch on your headlight switch, your interior lights and your door hatch release switches will work. (Yes, that sound weird!)
Your hatch release button in the console will still work normally (in neutral or park).

If I totally remove the delay module what else will be effected?
If you are removing it because it is faulty ,you can connect the two white wires from pins A and D together and have the interior lights on with the doors open ,lights out as soon as you close the door.

85 light module

Thank you for the replies. I totally removed the module the only things affected were as you guys said the hatch release only works from the console with the key on and the interior lights work from the headlight switch only. What a pain in the butt to get to it.

I replaced a bad transistor in my delay module eight years ago, and it's still working fine. If you can't find a new module, I may be able to fix yours. Send me a PM.

:)

Bad Module

I have a bad module I was planning on swapping out this winter. This got me thinking about another solution. If I put a switch between the two whites instead, there would be a way to enable or disable the interior lights with a simple flip of a switch. Could be useful if working on the car with the doors open for an extended period of time. No additional juryrigging, pulling fuses or disconnecting the battery.
