I don't need to do the tape test. I already know the results. One of my incarnations after leaving the corporate world was an R&D association with a company developing a totally implantable artificial heart. The technology never proved out but during the development phases I met many afflicted with heart disease; their hopes and wishes. It was a sobering experience and the technology did not meet their expectations. Many died awaiting transplants. We all are only one heart-beat away.

As Stepinwolf says, or to paraphrase, enjoy your short time in this world. And from the 1960s, "Tomorrow is the Next Day in the Rest of Your Life."

Paul, I know where your coming from.

A few years back I drove myself to the ER, only to loose conciseness at the admission desk. Days later, after I awoke from an eleven hour stint on the operating table to repair a perforated ulcer, I was joking told by one of my surgeons as he bent over my bed that, and I quote " Hello Mr. Pelland, were so happy to see that you are still alive, " unquote.

I must say that although it seemed to me at first to be a bad attempt at a joke, I realized that had things gone wrong, I would no longer have been part of this wonderful world of ours, and without even knowing about my loss.

All this proved to be quite unnerving to me for a while, but then a year later I was once again admitted to the hospital and this time it was to undergo quad by-pass. Well as funny as it my sound, I went through the preparation for the procedure with a good feeling , knowing that if things went wrong and the shÎt hit the fan, I would have left this place knowing that at least , for a short while, I had done, and experienced, everything that had brought me pleasure.

Now, you might better understand why today, I will do absolutely anything, and everything I please, knowing that any day might be the last day of my being here, and I have no intentions of holding back on anything.

I love that "test". I had best get busy!! I am also going to redo my upholstery(which is black and perfectly fine) to white after I get the car painted blue. the '65 blue was Nassau Blue. I am not tied to that blue and I do not know what other Blues C2s used or were to see them. Apparently, no after market upholstery providers offer white with contrasting piping. i think white with blue seams/pipng would look really sharp. i am guessing I would have to have them custom made? If I go with vinyl, any chance there would be a color difference between the door panals and custom seats?

Any input appreciated. :cool
