For the past couple of weeks I've been having an intermittant no-start with my 88. Left me DOA when I went to Indy a few weeks ago. Had a new battery but I suspected the battery cables. Had power to everything except no power to starter. I tried to change the cables but I just couldn't get underneath enough to get to everything so I took it to my local dealer. They had it for almost 2 weeks, starting it about 5-10 times a day and it would start every time. So last Wednesday I told them if they couldn't get it to screw up to just replace the cables and I'll pick it up on Friday. I went there Friday and they finally found the problem, the starter enable relay behind the dash. After almost 100 starts it finally acted up and found the relay wouldn't make contact. Replaced it and I'm so happy to have my car back! Cables are in fact fine.
I was so happy I spent several hours finally cleaning it up. Along the way I must have turned the interior lights on and didn't notice it. Sunday I get in it for a drive and everything's dead. Battery died!! I'm so stupid
