Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

is 13k for a 1992 a good deal.

How much is too much?

IMHO high mileage vettes means high expenses now and in the future. A '92 that is clean with low mileage (as long as it wasn't beat on) is a good price at $13k. New OEM tires all around are around $850 mounted and balanced. Wheels can be expensive if they are damaged or scuffed. Yes those LT1's can go "forever"...but lower mileage is always better. The prices (book and actual selling) are all over the place. The true value is what you or someone else is willing to pay.

just picked up another vette.... '94 coupe with 122k. runs smooth as butter and drives true and straight on the highway. ice cold a/c. a few little tinkering fixes needed but for $6,000, i won't gripe... first time i owned 2 vettes at the same time. feels pretty good. i may need another.

just picked up a 1989 coupe for 13k, know that was more than it should be but it is in pristine condition with just 19k miles....you could eat off the engine compartment or the underside...will need tires...they are getting old and I do not feel that I paided too much...it is all what you want...I quess, I would personally take a car with less miles...not one than has no miles...just less for a little more money and have in my opinion less to replace than a high mileage car...
