is a 91 worth it??

ran into a hard luck story that may be of interest to anyone wanting a 91 vette.
while talking to a scrapyard guy about vettes, he spoke of a 91 that was smashed in 92. the guy bought it from him and all nescessary parts for repairs to build for his son. before work began , the son was killed.this was in 92. the dad has decided the car will be sold.
the guy said it has almost no miles and is asking under 10 grand. I am not into these vettes, so i don't want it. but if any of you guys are interested , i have a phone number. oh yeah, bad news, it's in nova scotia canada.great deal for any cannucks who want to travel east.mike

So the engine hasn't been run in 12 years? Or maybe it was started once or twice around the time of purchase. Anyway, things like the shocks, brake calipers, haven't been operated in a long time. Engine gaskets & seals are probably dried out and/or brittle.
If it has held coolant all these years, it may be acidic by now. Think about the gas (or should I say varnish) in the tank, lines, filter, and injectors.
Low mileage might not mean much. There may be more repair/rebuilding required than what meets the eye.

I would agree, might be a can of worms after you fix the bodywork.
