Is GM 4718 oil code still used on new Vettes?

I was wondering if the GM 4718 oil requirement code used on C-4's, is still used for new Vettes. The reason being is that if newer oil codes are just used for newer Vettes, will the GM 4718 be dropped as time goes on? If so then we may not know what would replace it. Thanks

I know what u are trying to say, but I don't think GM mentions Royal Purple, as part of oil requirement for new Vettes. I was interested in what oil code they want owners to use. Is GM 4718 still used as a code requirement(?)

I have a C6 2005 in owners manual it says motor oil should be "GM 4718M"

GM 4718 M is the current spec for Corvette, however, my guess is GM will update that fairly soon. There is a new round of engine oil certifications coming.

The problem in Sweden is that it is hard to find oil with GM 4718M. Mobil1 in Europe is not marked with GM4718M. I only found a Kendall motor oil with that specification.
