Without being able to see much about the car, the 68 is priced reasonably well if it's a solid car, although 68's are frequently regarded as less desireable because they're the first year of the C-3 and had a number of components unique to that year only. Be cautious on frame rust and obviously have a full mechanical evaluation performed.
Tough to see the 71, but the headlines are the wrong motor, "sitting in a barn for 15 years" and "needs full restoration"--- it probably looks better than it really is and sounds like an undertaking that could turn into a money pit.
There are a lot of good cars in the midwest. I'd suggest taking a trip down to McDorman Chevrolet near Columbus (a forum sponsor) and check out their offerings along with other cars in the Columbus market before you go after these NY cars.
