Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

is this a deal?

Without being able to see much about the car, the 68 is priced reasonably well if it's a solid car, although 68's are frequently regarded as less desireable because they're the first year of the C-3 and had a number of components unique to that year only. Be cautious on frame rust and obviously have a full mechanical evaluation performed.

Tough to see the 71, but the headlines are the wrong motor, "sitting in a barn for 15 years" and "needs full restoration"--- it probably looks better than it really is and sounds like an undertaking that could turn into a money pit.

There are a lot of good cars in the midwest. I'd suggest taking a trip down to McDorman Chevrolet near Columbus (a forum sponsor) and check out their offerings along with other cars in the Columbus market before you go after these NY cars.

Just my .02-- with regards from a former Buckeye

Gullwing's ad for blue 71 vert indicates it has matching numbers 327 ... while the red 68 vert indicates matching 350. I'm not certain ... but understand 68 did not come with 350 and 71 did not come with 327 ... maybe they simply got their ad copy mixed up. Price of blue 71 vert is suspiciously low.

68 has a 327ci/350hp. 327ci came in 300 and 350hp version in 68. No 327 in 71.

No i dont think neither are anygood unless the guy with the 71 means 350.
