Question: Is this Grand Sport only?

What are these called? Are they a Grand Sport only option? Can they be bought aftermarket for other models? Do they come in chrome? And is there a front wheel equivalent (preferably lower in profile)?

And yes this is a piece of a picture of someone's car from this forum. Sorry, I had to borrow it.

Those are fender flares. They were a Grand Sport only option because the Grand Sport coupes came with wider 315 tires and wheels that were standard on the C4 ZR-1's. Instead of giving the GS's a wide body, like the ZR-1's GM tacked on some fender flares to the standard C4 body.

Check out the Grand Sport Registry's store, they might have some flares. If they have them, they will probably be primed and ready to paint, I have never seen chromed ones.

So, what you are telling me is they probably won't look so good on my car since the tires are not big enough. And there is probably not front wheel equivalent.

I think what I am looking for is not so much "flares" as "accents".

Also, WOW! :eek $500 for a pair or fiberglass arcs!

I don't know how they would look on your car. I was just giving you a little history about why they are there.

After having owned a GS for 3 years, I kind of liked them.
