Well just a quick note I was at Callaway Cars today and to my surprise The SLEDGEHAMMER is there. Myself, Chris, Megan, Tony, and his wife Nellie got a heck of a tour of the SLEDGEHAMMER. Pictures that you would not believe total access to the fastest production car. We took tons of pics They put the car on the lift and we again took tons of pics. We also got to sit in the car. WOW Well I am sure Chris will post some info and some pics on Wednesday.

Been there :D I sat it it while it was at the NCM. It was off the show flow and I got the royal tour.

Rub it in Pete!

Go ahead and rub some salty snow sludge on an old wound.

Glad you guys saw it and had a good time.

Now, where are the pics?

:D

Hey! Thanks for the invite! Somebody drove right past my house!

WOW!!! It appears that you fellas got one memorable tour of the mighty sledgehammer!! Did you inquire on any specifics on the ride that you were unaware of? How often does Mr. Callaway ride it?

Johnny

Low miles

The car is not driven very much . It only has1982 miles on it. They are getting the car ready for the auction. Eric I posted that I was going up to Callaway for the meeting with them about the upgrades.

Chris,

Thats a magnificent piece of automotive machinery to be remembered for the ages to come. Did anyone offer you fellas a quick drive? Will there be any board members in attendance at the auction?

p.s. Whats everyone's impression on the new C6. I love it!!!

Johnny, I know a few folks are talking about witnessing this historic event - The Sledgehammer is still owned by Reeves Callaway.

C6, TBD, Will advise after the new year (I am a hands on person and need more than pictures & words) Hope all they say is true about it :cool

Pete, glad you like the surprise at Old Lyme :m

Here is your pic - wrinkling the seat ;)

As it turns out, after a little investigative work, the new owner of the Sledghammer and the other 3 exotic Callaways lives about 20 miles north of me in Evergreen Co.
Some friends of mine know him and are getting me a chance to come over and take lots of digital images of the collection. He has several Lambroghinis, a stretch hummer and several other corvettes in his collection.
I will post picts and stats as soon as it comes together.

side decal - Unique to the Sledgehammer

Side tabs behind the pilar were to keep the rear hatch from blowing out of its seals :eek
I wish I could buy a set of those tabs... Taking the GS down the autobahn at 160-175mph wind does rush in around the seals. I thought the hatch glass was going to fly off the first time I heard it.
