I have a C3 1978 Corvete and on Saturday night on the way to a cruise the A.C. quit, I noticed that the fuse was blown so I replaced it and the new one blew before I could get it in the panel, so I unpluged the plug on the compressor and tried another fuse but it also blew that one too so where do I start looking for the short is it possible that it is a ground short.

It sure sounds like something is shorting out. Basically, you're going to have to trace the circuit from end to end to determine where the short is happening. I would start at the switch but that's just preference.

Thanks Mac I was just hoping for a easier way.

I wish there was but when it comes to electrics, shortcuts are usually a very bad thing... and a short circuit can easily cause a fire so it's not something you can bypass.

Keep us posted on your progress. There are plenty of folks here who know much more than I do and they'll likely chime in if you get stuck.

Thanks Mac I just thought that someone might have had the same problem and would let me know what they had found, yeah I know that electrical shorts can be a bitch and I have to work with them with a passion.
