Thursday, October 13th kicks off the beginning of our final event for 2005 – the C3 Extravaganza! Open to all automotive enthusiasts, this exciting event offers guests in attendance a full three-days of non-stop activities that include road tours, lunch excursions, Dyno pulls, a NCM gimmick tour, seminars, drag racing, a cookout at the home of NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode and wife Jan, drag racing, autocross, a people’s choice car show and a banquet and benefit auction and much more!

The event is co-hosted by the C3 Vette Registry, and starts on Thursday morning with a “driving” road tour to the Bourbon Heritage Center and lunch along the trip. A limited number of slots are available and pre-registration is required. A scenic road tour to view some of the country-side scenery is offered later in the afternoon.

Activities are in full swing on Friday, with the people’s choice car show, exciting seminars in the Chevrolet Theater, the C3 event group photo in the front circle, dyno pulls by Elitesparkplugs.com, gimmick tour and the “grilling” at the 1869 Homestead. Be sure to register to be a part of the cookout and enjoy a relaxing evening of good food and company in a beautiful country setting.

Saturday morning begins a rigorous day of excitement for everyone registered for autocross at Beech Bend Raceway! A mandatory drivers meeting is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. at Beech Bend and all participants must attend. Autocross fees are payable to the Museum with your preregistration fee. A road tour lunch excursion to Diamond Caverns and Park Mammoth are slated to start 9:30 a.m. and space is limited. Be sure to add this exciting adventure to your registration plans.

Drag racing at Beech Bend Raceway is also part of Saturday’s activities. Pre-registration is not required and payable on site at Beech Bend. You can be a part of the fun and drag race for a $15 fee or join in as a spectator and watch the exciting drag racing competition. A $5.00 spectators fee is payable at Beech Bend Raceway. More scenic tours of the countryside and dyno pulls are also part of the day’s activities, prior to the C3 Extravaganza Dinner and NCM Benefit Auction in the Museum’s Skydome. A cash bar will be available at 6:00 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. – you don’t want to miss this grand evening.

We hope you can join us for the final onsite event of the 2005 season. We look forward to welcoming you.

We always enjoy the NCM events....will try to attend this one too!

Sounds like a great event. I wish I had some vacation time left.
