Just taking a poll

Markiemyster, Tripleblack, thanks for the kind words. I hope to see your nice cars someday, maybe at Carlisle.

Funny subject........
If you have an orig car / drivetrain, you like it!
I drive mine. 6500rpm+ no problem. All the time.
(today infact) :o)
If you don't have 'em, you don't care, or are building a numbers matching car out of it. Which used to mean the same as Orig.
Funny how that has changed? "Numbers match" used to mean orig. drivetrain.
Not sure what it means now? Re-stamped?
If my car was a NOM car, I would care less!, build a "Numbers matching car"?
Why bother? $$$$$$$$$$$??? Originals are Original. Anything else isn't.
What's the big deal? LOL LOL
Just my 2 centavos.....
The fastest Midyrs out there are not Original cars.....
Fake cars built for profit... suck.......
At the same time, I like all Mid yrs...... LOL LOL

I'm with Magic. The fun is in getting it out on the road in safe condition. I want to keep it looking original but "hardware" upgrades make sense to me. I'm waiting to get the 65 back with a new GM 350 in it. Wife and I are more into reliabilty than hot performance. It'll still collect tickets if we're not careful. Hopin' it runs really well.

I'm still looking for some original St Louis air for my right front tire ... It must be from mid November of 1965. Can anybody help?

Actually, I've been thru several phases: I bought my '66 as a driver, but got hooked on a restoration in the late 80's. I've been thru the show circuit, but now I just want to find the time to drive it.
