Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

just testing

Is this like a Pavlov's Dog test? If so, it worked-

Hey Mac,

Click on one of my albums and see if you can get an individual pic to zoom.
When I do it I just get the dreaded red X!

Regards, John McGraw

It worked a while ago. I'll go take another look.

edit: yup, it's working. Does a brake booster that small require a separate vacuum res or ???

That is really strange, it is my firewall that is stopping it. If I turn my firewall off, I can access the images fine. Hummm........

Mac,
No, it is actually two diaphrams in series inside the can. There is not room for a single large diaphram, so they stack them and have one assist the second one.
As long as the total diaphram area is the same, the force should be the same.
I am going even more compact on the 65 and using a Hydroboost setup on it.
It uses the power steering pump to provide boost pressure for the brakes, and is pretty small. GM uses tham on all their large pickups and suburbans now. You can really get some brake pressure with this setup.

Hmmm, indeed. The pics cleared my firewall w/o problem.

ps: I read the second post re: brakes after I'd already replied. I like the power steering idea- especially since it's so much smaller and not vacuum dependent. Of course, my 73 has neither power brakes nor power steering but not everyone can appreciate that kind of ride. :Steer

John Chances are its not your firewall but maybe an add blocker or a privacy setting trying to block advertizements,or something in your security setting is blocking cookies,On my security settings I allow your photo hosting sire to use cookies when I visit it.(not all cookies are bad)

In looking at your frame photos,it looks as though you blasted it on your driveway,WOW you have some nice neighbors.Mine would have tried to have me arrested,

Larry,

I can't figure it out. It will access the thumbnails, but will not display the zoomed pic when I click on it. If I post a link to an individual pic, it displays fine.
When I turn the firewall off, all pics display fine. I have tried turning the settings down to less restrictive in my firewall program, but to no avail. I can still acess the photos through my login, but it just stumps me why I can't access the public images. I guess it really doesn't matter as long as everyone else can see the pics, but it just bugs me!

I am very lucky to live on a corner lot and have a 1.5 acre lot that puts me a ways from most of my neighbors. I have one neighbor that is right adjacent to me, but he is a gearhead as well. I also have a secluded driveway that is protected by a garage on each side, so it is almost invisible from the street. My drive is almost like a courtyard arangement that is protected on both sides. I do try to keep the outside work to a minimum in deference to my neighbors, but when the weather is real nice, I like to roll the lift out onto the drive and work on the car out in the fresh air.
