K & N FIPK 2002 Problem

The C5 Store lists the K & N FIPK for 1997-2002, which I purchased. However the mass air sensor is about 1/8 inch too large on the filter end for the silicone hose supplied. K & N says they do not have a FIPK for the 2001 or 2002 corvette. Zip products has agreed to a product return. However I realy wanted a K & N filter on my Vette.

Anybody else solve this problem? Any suggestions?

i am using a cut lid air box with a K&N filter on my 02 and have used it on ny 97 and 99 also. the K&N filter for the air box will fit all C-5 97-02

JimRLV go with the Vortec cold intake system. Much better then the K&N

Another option is the Blackwing by Donaldson, it claims 15+ HP but the best is how it looks and mounts (uses the originial factroy brackets) Good Luck
