the reason the TB is in the back is so it don't suck up all the dirt and grime from 4 wheeling.

alot of the mud boggers do that if you ever watch mud bog racing.

:duh Duh! C'mon Mic, don't ya think I know that? :eyerole

hehe just making sure :gap

  • FIND AND FIX THE OIL LEAK!!!!

I forgot to mention that when I off-loaded it from the trailer at Chris' shop, I noticed a fairly large spot of lubricant. Stuck my finger in it and it was a nice clear amber-colored fluid, therefore, not power steering fluid! Damnit!!!

Why could I not find a leak when it was on the stand?

Well, I thought it was not a power steering fluid leak. However, as I was tinkering in the garage last night photographing the seat disassembly for kenwa, I discovered that the power steering fluid I got for the car when I reassembled it a few weeks ago, is amber-colored! I guess I forgot what I bought was not the traditional red-colored fluid.

What a relief knowing it is not an engine oil leak. It'll still require crawling around cleaning the mess I made of the nice clean engine bay (the crossmember is going to be soaked in oil :eyerole), and will require addressing the hose issue (Which I should have done in the first place!), but I am a much more happy camper knowing it's not the engine leaking. :D

Oh, and the Painless harness is on it's way back to Summit, in exchange for a PowerMaster "XSVolt" 100 amp one-wire alternator. Chris, my electrician, said that's the way to go. :cool

The car is 80%+ complete. :J
