Thanks to Groovyjay, I now have a quick download video of the "Killer Lights" in action.

I uploaded it to this page:

http://mcspeed.homestead.com/Our_Products.html

Now--even though the www.homestead.com system is fairly dummy proof, it took me HOURS to get this up. I am not yet sure it works.

So, I guess you just right click on the video clip, save target as...download and play.

I am limited to my monthly bandwith..etc, so I don't know how long or smooth the download will be.

Let me know if it works for you....and THANKS to Groovyjay!!!!!!!!

There's no file extension (.mpg, .avi, .whatever) on the link. What type file is it?

Joe

It is a .mpg extension.....

It was running when I last tried it last night....however, I had a pair of videos on there, and the other was a .mov taken by Scott at OctoberVette last year of my car just running.

Scott might host this killer light vid for me until I can get this figured out.

I will go back to my site later tonight and tweak it some more in the mean time.

Thanks for checking it out for me.

No file extension. If it's an mpg file, you should rename it as .mpg as homestead thinks you are directing your users to killer_lights_video folder.

Hopefully this helps.

Sly

Yea, you need to put the extension in otherwise it's pointing to a folder

B.T.W. Piet, that name sounds awfully Dutch :)

Very dutch... I am a 1st Generation Canadian... Parents came from Holland.

what the hell happened to the mc.speed site?? It looked much better in the past????

Piet, I checked your profile and your real name is as Dutch as it can be :)

No worries Chris, the file is in MPEG file format, however I didn't see it on McSpeed site, did you delete it?

Just checked the original file name and it was mov00032.mpg

I agree. The old site sold out...then when out of business before I had a chance to save my template.

This new one has more capacity and capability, but I am struggling to master the tools it provides.

Scott saved it to the C3Sharktank, so I will most likely link to that for now.

Thanks,

FIXED!!!!!!!!!!

YaHOOOOOOOOOO!

Thanks to Scott, it pops off right away from a hyperlink into a quicktime video download!

Schweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Thanks a million to Jay for taking the time to shoot the video and email it to me, and Scott for helping me get it online!

loks good chris....is that loud clanking noise ok? is it necessary? sounds like a hammer. maybe its my volume.

In all honesty the noise that sounds like a big bang, is nowhere near that loud in the real world I think it's my camera. I will also adjust the damping rate, but other than that the lights are perfect now!

Jay--
Did you have the headlights in the buckets when you shot the video? If not, that might account for some of the noise. Looks good anyway. I can't wait to get mine!

noticed the lights bounced the 1st time you closed them, 2nd time they didn't. .. is that adjustable (springs) ???

No, I don't have the headlights on yet, I'm still waiting for new ones to arrive, so that might make some difference to the system as well.

I just put shorter spring in and that cured the bouncing effect, I need to shoot new video to show you guys how they REALLY work;)

These things are definitely on my "must have" list. I need to get some other stuff fixed, first, but these things are just plain cool.

Chris: I think you need to make some "Killer Lights...Because Vacuum Sucks!!!" stickers. Would be cool to put on the side of the bracket, so anyone looking up under the nose to see the system, would know what it is.

Great idea!:_rock :dance

nice job, works great, seems kind of powerful though won't it create problems in the long run?
