Lap belt retractor cover?

Upon removing the carpet from my '77 Corvette, I noticed that there was a lap belt retractor cover over the housing on the floor on the passenger side but not on the drivers side. Is this normal? I've seached the internet for this part, but I've come up with nothing. On the passenger side, it's just a metal cover that bolts on over the area where the lap belt attaches to the floor. Is seems strange to me that they would only put it on one side. If I am supposed to have one on the drivers side as well, then does anyone know where I can find this part. If I can't find it then I guess I'm going to have to fabricate something. Speaking of hard to find, I can't seem to find seat belt guides that bolt to the outer part of the floor either. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me locate this cover or tell me if I'm supposed to have it.

Contact Paragon Reproductions for help on "vintage, ie used" parts.

They can help you out with that and get you back in the saddle quick.

I have covers on both sides of mine. ...I think they are black plastic tho.

Are you taking about where the retractor attaches in the rear of the car or under the seat.

The rear covers are available in the catalogues but are expensive. I know because I looked at them and elected to glue plastic to the back of mine to fix it rather than pay the price.

I'm not sure about the ones under the seats.

I'm talking about the ones under the seats. I never had the shoulder belts. (removed I suppose during the vert. conversion)

I am talking about the ones under the seats as well. According to my shop manual they're called lap belt retractor covers. Still haven't been able to find any. I guess I may just have to fabricate something myself.
