So I'm just cruising around and I hear this clanging sound. Traffic's too heavy to stop then, I check the car and find an exhaust tip has escaped. The inside tip in the left-side stodk muffler. I went back and searched the shoulder for it but no luck there. I don't need it to pass inspection, but I'd like to restore the looks. Any suggestions on getting a rreplacement tip. I don't want to buy the entire muffler.

Go to a muffler shop or garage that also does exhaust. Ask to search their junk pile (usually outdoors - so alright, maybe don't ask). See if you can find something that would match that you can cut from another muffler.
If one corroded and fell off, the others are not that far behind. By the time you pay to have another tip welded on, it may turn out to be penny wise and pound foolish. I'd bite the bullet and find an inexpensive pair of new mufflers. You car will love you for it.
