Today, while out for a drive w/ my daughter, she asked if she could shift gears...
I asked her if she knew why you shift gears - her reply was, "because you shift gears to be safe daddy & to make the car go faster... "
These are the words out of a four year old

So, I let her shift gears from 5th to 6th and then 3rd to 4th on up to 6th - she caught on quickly

I guess the best part was when she asked me if I was proud - Yes I am - VERY proud

(she currently has a new beetle - 6volt and Jeep 12 volt,2 speed )
