Check out this work...Looks like this dude may be on to something...I am impressed...Here is the site where he posted the work he did... Photos Here ...and here is the product he used. http://www.leatherrepairkits.com/

It looks very good!!!

Sure beats replacing the entire cover !
Especially if it is just the one spot, looks a lot better than a big hole.

Thanks for the link, as my grandaughter stepped on the pass. side seat and tore a small hole.....she felt bad....but wasen't her fault....just can't stay away from grandpa's vette......Ha...Ha..

So which is better DD? Have ya had a chance to use both products? I have a vested interest now since my 1st attempt at replacing seat foam resulted in a 2 inch tear right above the seat release button...
I managed to do a pretty nice patch job from the underside of the tear using an iron-on patch kit. But now I have to make the visable side look pretty...
I got a cheapie Permatex repair kit
http://www.permatex.com/products/prodidx.asp?automotive=yes&f_call=get_item&item_no=80902

Would this be enough to do a good job as long as I get the color right?
BTW, my seats are vinyl...

Thanks,
Tony

Well.....They look to have virtually the same systems.

However, from a product support standpoint....what I like about LeatherMagic.com is that I've actually been able to call up the owner of the company and speak with him regarding his products.

From a customer support standpoint ..... what I DON'T like is that with LeatherRepairKits.com I tried all the tricks in the book to find the company's phone number or their address and could not find a single thing except for a post office. I don't like giving out my credit card number to someone who I have no way of getting ahold of them.... email addresses are a dime a dozen and so are post office boxes.

I have received several products from LeatherMagic.com and have been quite impressed with the quality of the products. The packaging leaves something to be desired, but that really doesn't matter to me.

I suggest you call LeatherMagic.com (tell them I sent you) and explain your problem. My website will have all the "How To's" on all of this.... including video.

Leather Magic has a phone number on the site...559-877-8680...It also says if you can't reach them leave a message on the machine...May be a basement opperation.

EDIT...that number above is for LeatherRepairKits.com

I've spent several hours on the phone with them. It does appear to be a mom and pop shop to me too. But when I tried their leather cleaner and thier convertible top cleaner I was verrry impressed with the quality.

The one thing that I like is that I can send them actual pieces of the leather that I'm working on and they can do an analysis and send me an exact match.

Hey DD, can they actually remake the pitted leather from earlier years?? If they can that's GOTTA be cheaper than the GM leather. I actually need pieces of leather, like one piece probably needs to be about 6"x3" and then there is the pitted leather seat bottom that looks like it was destroyed.
