1993 Convertible 1999 FRC Pewter sold
Anybody heard of a Corvette classified as a "lemon" and bought back by GM. A Carfax search said Bought back . How will this affect future owners resale etc. Of course this assumes car was repaired by GM before resale.

In order to be classified as a Lemon doesn't it have to have a problem that was unable to be repaired by an OEM Dealer in a certain amount of visits? I would imagine it would be like buying a house that had a huge insurance claim against it at one point. Many lenders will not go near it. JMO..

Lemon Laws vary by state - bottom line, if an OEM dealer cannot fix a problem in a certain number of trips to the dealer, there is a process for GM to buy the vehicle back, offer to "exchange" the vehicle, etc.

Thanks for the responses. Car was sold! And I suppose I'm glad I didn't have to decide.
We all have to sell them someday and the Carfax report would have destroyed resale as people said.
My search continues for a 1999 FRC.
