Level 2 or Level 3?

I am thinking about ordering a 700R4 trany for my '80 vette from Bowtie. Should one get a level 2 or level 3 trany? I now have a ZZ4 but probably will go something with more horsepower later. Is there any reason I shouldn't go the level 3? My wife drives the vette too and I don't want any driving type problems because of a beefyer type of trany? Also would the 3 weigh more than the 2 appreciably? I know Evolution had his 700R4 go gunny on him. Was that because it was a 2 and a 3 might not have? Looking for some advice here.

check this out. www.maddogtransmissions.com/ got mine for about $1200 including the freight. I beat on it hard (400 hp and 430 torque) for the 4000 miles on it and no problems.
