Leveling a '64 coupe

:confused It's time to start a project I thought about a while back. My '64 coupe is 1" lower on the passenger side when measuring from points on the frame. I bought an adjustable outer spring mounting kit. Has anyone installed them before and can you give me some hints as to how to do it and do it safely? Thanks for the help and time.

The entire side or just the front? Start with alignment. All new springs or is everything old? Need more info.

The rear spring and bushings are new and it was aligned in March. It was 1" off before this. It is 1" off front and back on passenger side. Someone told me before if you correct the rear the front will usually follow.

It's probably a spring sag issue. Put a hefty C-clamp on the spring (to keep the jack pad from sliding inboard on the spring), and jack near the end of the spring until the link bolt becomes loose. Remove it, replace with the new bolt and nut, let the jack back down, and remove the C-clamp.

Working on the rear springs on C2's always made me nervous. Proceed with caution and care. Let the wrenches be under the spring, not your hands!!

Just a follow up. I replaced the link bolt, spacers and bushings (rubber) and adjusted the height on the rear. The front seemed to follow and now is only minimal discrepancy side to side. I've noticed a couple of other '64s posting height problems. Thanks Johnz and studiog.
